Trials

There are two types of trial, bench and jury. A bench trial is a trial before the judge the case is assigned to. A jury trial is a trial presided over by the assigned judge in which the decision making is left to a jury. In my opinion, trial is the ultimate lawyering skill, the culmination of a great deal of hard work to present my client’s case to the trier of fact. I know that there are attorneys who try to stay away from the courtroom. I am not one of them. I love using my wits, investigative skills, ability to clearly communicate and belief in my client’s cause to passionately convince a judge or a jury to find in my client’s favor. If I couldn’t try cases I wouldn’t want to practice law.
