In almost all plea agreements one of the rights you give up is the right to appeal. This leaves you with Rule 32 as your prime source of post conviction relief. There are eight grounds set out in Rule 32.1 that are available. Rule 32 relief is also available to you if you were convicted by a judge or a jury. The Rule 32 petition will be based upon the record in your case; everything in the Court’s file, everything that was allowed into evidence and the transcripts from all Court proceedings. To do the job properly is a time consuming, detail oriented piece of work. To the best of my recollection I have never lost such a case. I would be happy to help you with yours.
