Civil traffic matters, due to their simplicity, are very difficult to defend. By simple I mean that the statutory language setting forth the violation is usually short and unam biguous. As is the case with all offenses that I will be taking to Court, I gather whatever relevant documentation exists and then meet with my client at the scene to go through what happened step by step. Rather than use diagrams, I have my private investigator blow up and mount an overhead aerial photograp for use in Court.
Sometimes it is in my client’s best interest to work out a nontrial disposition with the prosecutor so that the points resulting from the negotiated deal are much fewer than they otherwise would be. As someone who has been driving for almost 50 years, I clearly understand how important a clean driving record is. The savvy thay I have acquired in this area of the law greatly benefits all my clients.
