Civil traffic matters, due to their simplicity, are very difficult to defend. By simple I mean that the statutory language setting forth the violation is usually short and unam biguous. As is the case with all offenses that I will be taking to Court, I gather whatever relevant documentation exists and then meet with my client at the scene to go through what happened step by step. Rather than use diagrams, I have my private investigator blow up and mount an overhead aerial photograp for use in Court.

Sometimes it is in my client’s best interest to work out a nontrial disposition with the prosecutor so that the points resulting from the negotiated deal are much fewer than they otherwise would be.
